The awakening: a personal journey to purpose
Our story began in 2017 with a transformative trip to a Caribbean country. While enjoying the luxuries of a resort, a stark reality emerged. Just a short distance from the opulent accommodations, local citizens lived in poverty, restricted from accessing their own beaches by armed guards. This profound realization, that my enjoyment inadvertently contributed to their struggle, sparked an epiphany. My vacation was overshadowed by the testimonies of the locals, and I felt a deep need to change how we travel.
